Okay....Its okay. The service was good and the people friendly. For a reasonable breakfast, its not bad. However, I'm not rushing back. My main gripe is the amount of butter used. My grits were sitting in a pool of butter. The French toast provided a nice squirt of butter in every bite. Lucky Grill is now referred too as Butter Grill.

A great place to eat at reasonable prices. We especially love the breakfast menu. Not your fancy cloth napkins and tablecloths, but who cares as long as the food is good.

Mmmmm mmmmm good I had a french toast breakfast with sausage links and grits. My honey and I have been here about 4 or 5x for breakfast and are recognized by the lady that runs the counter. Can't say how nice that is in addition to the great food and friendly service. This is not a fancy restaurant it's a Lil cafe/diner with a few tables and no fancy extras. Just a great lil gem in an industrial area of Capital Heights.

Yelp has succeeded yet again in helping me find a diamond in the rough! Fathers Day morning and my husband didn't want me to cook nor did he want to sit down and have breakfast so we opted for carry out. Having grown tired of ihop and downright disgusted with the service at Steak in A Sack (I'll never go back) I went to yelp and found this gem. Service was great and fast. My husband got a Belgian waffle meal, I had the French toast and our son had a ham and cheese omelette meal. Food was well priced and put us all in prime form for an afternoon nap. This will be our standard breakfast move from here out!

There are few places where the people are genuine and the food is good and feels like home. Lucky's Grill is this type of place to me. I was greeted with a warm smile as I walked in and looked over the menu. The woman gave me her recommendations and answered any and all questions I had. Even though it was close to 2pm I ordered breakfast food (breakfast is served all day). I had the steak omelet with a side of turkey sausage. The omelet was full of steak, onions, peppers, and tomatoes with cheese on the top. The turkey sausage was a good portion for the price. But most importantly, all of the food was good. I wanted to take a picture, but I ate it all too fast. I will be back very soon. The only drawback of this fine establishment is that they are not 24 hours. But I can't really hold that against them.

I gave it 4 stars only because it doesn't have highchair for kids. I went there with my 1 year old, although they are very kid friendly. Customer service was exceptional. Food... Umm... Everything was delicious!! Even my coffee was very good. I don't ever expect my coffee to be good at a restaurant unless I am in the Dominican Republic. I am happy to have found this spot.

Greasy, buttery, homemade style and they deliver. What else do you want from a diner? Yes it's in a strip mall in an industrial park, and yes, its the kind of place where every food option is listed on the window, all juice comes from bottles, and you leave feeling like your cholesterol should be checked. However, friendly customer service and large portions add even more to the at-home feeling. Enjoy, but don't tell your mama

Just left this great place and we will def be back!!!! It was very comfortable and the customer service was perfect. My kids were accommodated because of their picky palettes and that sold me!! The food was great and the spot was clean. We found our new Saturday morning breakfast spot! Thanks guys.

Fantastic food. Super friendly and laid back. The french toast and Salmon cake were amazing. I love great hole in the wall homey places like these that are hard to find but come with a great reward.

My first time coming here, and the breakfast is great, need to come back and try the lunch and dinner. They serve big portions of food and the food was tasty. I will be back soon!

Loved the place. Small, comfortable, friendly, and the best all-American breakfast I've had in a long time. Don't miss this gem in PG County. We'll be back! PS. The hash browns are incredible. The pancakes come next time.

The absolute best breakfast I've had in Maryland. It is setting in a small strip mall but don't let looks deter you from dinning in this small mom and pop restaurant. I had the French toast platter which consisted of eggs anyway you want, choice of meat. Home fries or grits. The best French toast!!!!!!!! Everything was tasty leaving us full and fulfilled. This place is a must try!! Lucky and Fatimah (sorry if I am spelling your name wrong but you are super nice and wonderful customer service. So nice to talk with you and made us very welcomed. felt like being at your favorite relatives home. OPEN 7 days a week. Call for the hours.

Great food! Great service! Found it at the last minute and it was a excellent choice. See Ms.Pat if she isn't at the central ave location, will be back again and again!

The spot is a dumpy diner but don't let that stop you. And that's really all too it. Cheap breakfast, cheap sandwiches, all prepared by a guy who looks like he may have shot someone before. But seriously speaking, this place is cool. It's not a date spot at all. But dammit, it's homey.

It was ok. Too bad its not open 24hrs. However, the service was substandard, of course there was only one waitress. I only got my food on time because I sat at the counter! LOL Halfway through my meal, I had to get up to remind her of the beverages I ordered. The grits were watery. And for some strange reason, the food didn't retain its heat! LOL Within 5 minutes of having my meal, every bit of it was cold! But, hey, what's to be expected?! Enjoy!

The food is simple but so good! It's not the nicest looking spot but im there for the food. It's tucked away in a industrial area, so keep your eyes open! I haven't tried the breakfast yet but the lunch special was on point.

So, the French toast here is like crack. Seriously, if you don't want to start an addiction stay away. Don't start none won't be none. The owners here are very very nice. Sometimes you walk in on an argument between the owner and the cook. Other times you walk in and everyone is watching TV. But no matter when you walk in the owners greet you with a smile and take haste to bring up your order. You could also phone your order in, which I have found to be very helpful. On the other hand everything here is overpriced. If you order a combo platter with meat expect one piece of scrapple, like one tiny piece of scrapple. One sausage patty, one very thin sausage patty. The owners act like meat is going out of style and they have the very last rations and they are sharing it with you and you should feel fortunate. The French toast, while delicious, is seven dollars per order. Seven dollars gets you three slices of battered Texas toast doused in butter. While it is incredible it would be more accurately priced at about four dollars, maybe five given the recession. There is no reason for seven dollars.

I tried this place for the first time this morning. .. It's location is kinda hidden but I was pleasantly surprised with the down home mom & pop feel of the place. If you want good food at reasonable prices I would give it a try. Just don't go expecting to be blown away w/ ambiance or decor. It's clean, the people are nice, & the food was good.

Good, old fashioned diner food. Stopped in for a quick breakfast sandwich and I was not disappointed. Prepaired quickly and I was out the door, thrilled that I avoided a chain-fast food breakfast. The sandwich left me wanting another--if only I'd had time to turn back and get one.

I didn't know it was possible to make rotissery chicken dry and tough, but it apparently is. The mac and cheese was oily, though it tasted OK. The sweet potatoes were drowning in slimy syrup. The rice basically tasted like nothing... but hey, it still had oil in it! You can get out of here for less than $10, and believe me, you will be happy you did.

I really like Lucky's, its owner Lucky is very personable and knows everyone's name. Now I have to be honest this place is extremely small for the amount of traffic that comes in. My hubby and I eat here every Sunday after church. I am a breakfast person so this place is perfect. It serves breakfast the whole day. My favorites are pretty much everything. They also had lunch and dinner items. I did taste one of my hubs turkey wings and it was really good. Hubs loves meat lovers omelette also.

I will give Luckie's a five star times two if I could. Very personable staff, always accommodating to my wife, child and myself. Food is beyond excellent! Take your pick and believe me it's coming up right! The owner Luckie, for the most part knows everyone's name and those he doesn't know he soon will. Family atmosphere, great food, and great people! The only downfall to this place is that it's not very big, but I do know they are talking about expansion. Safe bet for breakfast and lunch!
